    You mentioned “As we could see from the papers it could not be later than 1946” Can you post a pic of the papers? Thus far, I cannot see a possible nearly 100 year old rug.

      I am not well versed enough in rug motifs to ascertain origin, hence my question.

      And my question originated from noticing that Chuck showed a schematic of symmetric knots when illustrating knot count for your rug, so I wondered how he arrived at that (symmetric) observation, which I can only assume was from believing it to be Yomud.

        Here we go Joe. Of sourse I could not tell with 100 % sure that this paper iis from this rug. But the size, type, location and age fits precisely. You are right this is NOT 100 yo. but for sure around 1940
