  • Help identifying two Central Asian textiles with tassels

Hello, I acquired two pieces and would appreciate help with identification.

    Piece 1: A long flat-woven textile (296 x 33 cm) with diamond patterns and tassels – possibly a jajim?

Piece 2: A knotted net piece (150 x 84 cm) with wool pompoms, braided side bands and a woven border showing what appear to be animal motifs on a saffron/orange ground. Possibly an asmalyk or camel deco ration?

Both were acquired in Myanmar from a private person who brought them from an Arab country. Photos attached. Thank you so much! Annette Graf
