We have a member from Hamburg Germany which brought back many fond memories of my time there along with my wife and daughter throughout many years. We were there most weekends for a number of years in the early 90’s then here and there throughout the years. During that time I met my rug Mentor who introduced me to his mentor who owned a well known shop near the lake on a canal.
These rugs I am showing came from that shop and then went to a suburb of Hamburg called Reinbek. It was in Reinbek that I first saw the rugs. Very fine pieces and I wanted to share them here. These are recent pics as the rugs now are back in Hamburg within the same family. They even still have the receipts some of which are dated from 1974. The large rug is a stunning Persian example.
