I recently purchased this antique Caucasian rug, which seems to have been cut and reduced in length but still has wonderful colors and a design that has characteristics of Fachralo, Bordjalou, and Kazak rugs. Does anyone care to speculate about the rug's origin and age?
Antique Kazak? Fachralo? Bordjalou?

Hello Larry,
Truly a wonderful rug! Congratulations. I think humbly it might be a kazak, Bordjalou?,very old ,circa 1880 rug. Don't worry about the shortening of the rug, at the contrary it is a sign of authenticity of the piece. It seems a precious rug, very large too ,with nice natural colours. Could I ask you where did you purchase it? Thank you.

I found the rug in an antique mall in Birmingham, Alabama. I was amazed to find it there and believe that the booth owner had no idea what it was.
