If you like to walk around and discover lovely places I really recommend visiting Vilnius this autumn. Autumn is the best time to discover city attractions and parks since the weather gets very nice (mostly warm/slightly chilly). Not to mention there is tons of free events and concerts this autumn in Vilnius. I found www.walkablevilnius.com has good lists of must see things and helpful premade walking routes of the city

Baltic trip and St. Petersburg

Here are my Baltic pictures:
These are pictures of the "distaffs" that I saw in the Russian Museum:
John Howe has one of these. They're used in spinning flax into linen thread.
I also saw some in the Lithuanian National Museum in Vilnius, but no photos were allowed.

These were the best I could do with the Pazyryk carpet at the Hermitage:
but the huge felt came out better:
