Hi Pierre,
You've given me a new rainy-day task which I look forward to: a re-read of my old copy of Hartley Clark's book, which I haven't looked at in several years, probably because of the deckle-edge paper binding style, which was popular at the time but made reading a pain-in-the-neck nevertheless. It will provide some more conversation fodder. It was great fun at the time; the anecdotes in his Preface section are memorable all by themselves; the guy was a raconteur of the first water. Regards Chuck |
