Default Of Hamadan, Mahabad and Mehravan / Mehraban

In another thread the names in the title (or variations thereof) of this thread were discussed, i.e. Hamadan, Mahabad, Mehravan (or Mehraban) re whereabouts being towns or areas, etc. I seem to recall saying I had Iranian friend/s - a husband (Iranian) and wife pair - who owned a nearby rug shop and would go and ask to get a 'locals' view.

Well they did me / us one better than explaining where they were, the actually gave me an old book with an old map in, copied below.

The crop of same shows the three towns: red, green and purple dots respectively.

The also let me copy from another old book the other two described 'Mehrabans'.

Hi Kay,

Very cool!

There is another Mehraban (both a town and a district) just a little northwest of Hamadan towards Bijar. On your map with the colored dots (the larger cut of it), it (the district) would lie approximately between the bottom of the letter "H" of 'Hamadan' and the bottom of the right leg of the letter "A" of 'Kordestan.'
