The Salon “Rugs in Orientalist paintings” gave the idea for this essay series. It seems right to include a link in this section too, besides the one already in our archives (it was posted in 2004, salon # 105)

A year later it had also a follow-up (two, actually - see both pages).

For any other follow-ups (I don’t think it will happen, but one never knows) please use this section.
