Filiberto Boncompagni Couldn’t find anything on the structure of these carpets.

Steve Price I'm pretty sure the late Harold Keshishian's book on his collection of inscribed Armenian rugs has one or two that had sewn on labels identifying them as having been made in orphanages.

Marvin Amstey Always great to read new information. We all know about the 100th anniversary of the genocide, but most of us were not aware of this rug story sidelight. Thanks, Filiberto , for bringing it to our attention.

Have a good reading.

P.S. – Otherwise, I would have thought that the rug in question was Persian.
