Historic reproductions of rugs in paintings and photography

Hi All
A Salon with a topic like "historic reproductions of rugs in paintings and photography" could turn out to be a source of information of permanent interest. I am sure that the members of turkotek always have an sharp eye for rugs when they go trough literature which is not only rug related. For example there is an extensive travel literature from around 1900 where the travelers did use the camera a lot, and interesting rugs may accidental be in the background. And of course there are a lot of rugs appearing as backgrounds in classical paintings and portraits. The members of this forum could surely give very interesting suggestions on the attributions of this historic material.

regards Martin

Looks like this "carryover" function works just fine.
