Tholen has prepared an essay exploring certain aspects of human
psychology as related to motifs on rugs. Hehas kindly allowed us to present it for discussion as a Mini-Salon. His title is Archetypical Symbols in Rugs and Flatweaves? Part 3 - Rugs in Sixteenth and Seventeenth Century English Paintings, by Pierre Galafassi, has been added to our ongoing series, Rugs in Old Masters. The subject is exactly what the title says it is, and it's a great read. The TurkoTek Discussion Forums are open and have a number of active topics of interest to rug collectors.
